This fall we are going to the Ladysmith Community Marina (aka Ladysmith Maritime Society Marina)
Thank you to Heather (and Mike) for volunteering to be the main organizers of this event.

We have booked space for our Fall Rendezvous in the friendly town of Ladysmith where we’ve discovered some unique shopping, dining, culture and hiking.

WHAT’S HAPPENING AND WHEN

WEDNESDAY
1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Meet on the dock by the tent beside the Oyster Cafe, to walk 5 or so minutes to the Heritage Museum & Waterfront Gallery.
The facilities on the dock--Museum, SLC, Heritage boats will also be open for our enjoyment. This has been arranged for us as these venues are normally closed on this day. I hope you can make it.
5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Happy Hour at the Tent on the dock - bring your own bevergages and an appetizer to share.

THURSDAY
9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Tia Chi with Jeff and Maria at Transfer Beach, meet under the tents on the dock at 9:30 a.m. to walk along Dogpatch Trail to TRANSFER BEACH PARK
11:00 a.m. Meet at the tents on the dock for a historical guided walking tour of Ladysmith led by Gerard Saunders and stopping at Appetit Food for Thought for a casual lunch (bring cards/money) .
Please email Heather McGaw at [email protected] if you think you’d commit to a lunch at Food For Thought as the Cafe is small and the Chef would like a heads up regarding numbers.


2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Meet at the Ladysmith Transfer Beach Park for our annual Boccee Ball game. PRIZE FOR THE WINNERS. Bob Thompson will lead us with 2 or 3 games going on at once. Please bring a chair or blanket to sit on.

5:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Barbecue and happy hour under the Marina Tents, BRING YOUR OWN PROTEIN TO BARBECUE AND A POTLUCK SIDE DISH TO SHARE. (Potluck can be a Vegetable or dessert) Please bring your own plates, cutlery/napkin and drinks. Following dinner we invite you stay and play a game of Starboard, Port and Lost at Sea. Please bring 4 quarters to join in the fun! THERE’S A PRIZE FOR THE WINNER!

FRIDAY
9:00 a.m. Bring your own coffee, we’ll provide cinnamon buns, croissants, bagels, ham & cheese. Tech talk to follow.
We would like to mention just steps away from the marina; the Trans Canada trail runs along the waterfront and there’s a lovely 5km hike called the Holland Trail which are both recommended.

Where is the marina? The marina is located in Ladysmith Harbour, on Vancouver Island, BC. As you enter the harbour, it is the first marina on your port side.
